The Sheol (The Wanderer Trilogy #1) surprised me! I didn't really know what to expect, even though it sounded really entertaining! The Sheol is about this girl Kala who has been trained to murder people and brought up this way by the Company since she was four. She is so deep into this, that she even kills her fiancé, who she never thought she'd see again. It turns out, by some weird supernatural power, he's back!
I thought the idea was original, and like nothing that I've read in a book! I liked it because it was so fresh and new and broke away from the cliché stories of YA that seem to be going around -- especially with the supernatural elements! I loved Kala, and even though I got mad at her a bit, she was really strong for all she's been through and she still keeps that calm facade.
The book was so interesting and entertaining! It was a good quick read, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series, the second of which I believe to be out now! The only thing that hindered it from reaching it's full potential is there were a lot of grammatical, and spelling mistakes that kind of distracted from the story at first. It kind of had the feeling that it needed to go through the editor one more time. However, I still immensely enjoyed it!
